Traxxas Bandit VXL 2wd Off Road Buggy

With brushless motors taking the Radio Controlled Car world by storm, 2007 saw Traxxas release the first version of the Traxxas Bandit VXL 2wd Off Road 1/10th scale RC Buggy. Receiving all the same upgrades as the Rustler VXL with the exception of a new body shell. The Bandit VXL retained the same shell as the Bandit XL-5′s. It did however receive a new paint scheme with revised graphics. The box claimed a top speed of 35+ to 70+MPH depending on battery and gear setup, making it a head to head competitor to the Rustler VXL as Traxxas’ fastest electric RC vehicle.

In 2009 both the Bandit XL-5 and Bandit VXL were made waterproof, featuring Traxxas’ new waterproof XL-5 ESC (waterproof VXL3s brushless ESC on the Bandit VXL), a smaller 4 channel 2.4ghz micro receiver, watertight receiver box, and waterproof high torque steering servo (a waterproof digital high torque steering servo being fitted to the Bandit VXL).
