So it’s only right that they should push the limits of what’s possible in the world of RC cars every time they release a new model, and with the XO-1 they’ve done just that!

The Traxxas XO-1 is the worlds fastest Ready-to-Race radio controlled supercar. This is not just a scale model of a real car, the XO-1 has been designed from the ground up, with advanced aerodynamics to pin this outstanding achievement in model engineering to the track with an incredible amount of down force. The front splitter, functional diffuser, channelled chassis extensions and aggressive rear wing all working together to make this an extremely memorable model indeed, both in performance, looks and design.

The XO-1 comes factory fitted with the all new Traxxas TQi Radio System too. This is the first 2.4Ghz radio system to feature a “Docking Base” compatible with Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch. Downloading the Traxxas Link App to your apple device gives a full colour display of real-time performance stats such as Speed, RPM, Temperature and Battery Voltage.

If you really want to turn heads with your RC, then this could well be the car to do it. How practical it is though, we’re not sure yet. You’re going to need some wide open spaces to reach top speed (100mph) and a really good vantage point. But then just owning a beast such as this and having all that power available and on-call whenever you want it is probably enough. Driving an RC car at 50mph+ without telemetry is fun and having seen some of the test runs for this model, this is certainly no exception.
